FEMP awards the Paeria Intranet

The project of management and use of the intranet at Lleida council has been selected as a model of good practice in the Primer Certamen de Buenas Prácticas sobre Recursos Humanos en las Corporaciones Locales (First exhibition of good practices on Human resourses in local corporations) from the Federació Espanyola de Municipis i Províncies (FEMP) (Spanish federation of municipalities and provinces). The accredited diploma is to be presented 11 th to 13 th December in Madrid, in the annual congress of Modernització de les Administracions Públiques (modernisation of public administrations).

This project was also selected among the 40 best for the presentation at TECNIMAP 2002 (national congress of the TIC to the AAPP), from a total of 155 projects presented by different administrative organisations.

The current Paeria Internet and intranet service provides a service direct to 500 users from the corporation and manage 6,500 e-mail mailboxes, processing a total of 150,000 messages a month.

The number of monthly visits to the paeria's service website is 55,000 and the number of pages visualised per month is 230,000.
